From Darkness to Light

From Darkness to Light  The short film From Darkness to Light by amritsonsalwaysalive youtube channel focuses on how we often take things like electricity for granted until we truly understand their importance. The video highlights that only when we respect ourselves, others, and our surroundings, can we take a meaningful step toward change. The purpose is to show how awareness can lead us from ignorance to understanding, or from darkness to light. The video uses simple but effective techniques to deliver its message. One of the main techniques is contrast—the son wastes electricity without thinking, while the maid, Shantabai, shares how she only gets electricity for four hours a day. This moment hits hard because it shows how different people live in the same world. Another technique is the twist in the story. We think there’s a power cut, but later we find out the father did it on purpose. This surprise element makes the story more powerful because instead of directly telling his...

My Daily Elevator Companion Has Whiskers and an Attitude

Image
One ordinary day turned into an unexpectedly adorable routine—all thanks to a little ginger cat with a big personality. It began when I entered the elevator in my building to head home to the 22nd floor. It was a pretty tiring day at college and all I wanted to do was to hit the sack. As soon as I entered, I noticed I wasn’t alone. Sitting calmly in the corner was a ginger cat, looking more like a frequent flier than a lost pet. A few kids playing nearby mentioned she lived on the 3rd floor and asked me to let her out there. So I did—I stopped at the 3rd floor and waited. But she didn’t get down. She just sat there. Unbothered. Uninterested. Maybe even slightly annoyed at my assumption. I tried my best to get her out but she was very stubborn and I was too tired so I gave up, pressed 22, and continued on. When we reached my floor, she finally stepped out—cool as ever— but when she realised she was on the wrong floor she again gave me a look. And then, to my utter surprise, ...

Life without emotions....

Life without emotions... it sounds strange, almost robotic, doesn’t it? Emotions are something we experience every single day — they shape our reactions, our thoughts, our memories.  According to psychologists, humans have five basic emotions: joy, anger, fear, disgust, and sadness. That's what sir Paul Ekman says but for me, emotions are much more than that. In a world increasingly run by machines and artificial intelligence, it is these raw, messy, beautiful emotions that truly make us human. It is the beautiful Chaos that remind us the beauty of life. They are like a divine gift — something we’re all blessed with and should cherish deeply. And I don’t just mean the positive ones. Even the so-called “negative” emotions like anger, guilt, and sadness have their own importance. Life without emotions would be like a blank canvas with no paint — technically complete, but empty, dull, and lifeless. Imagine waking up one morning and not feeling that tiny spark of hope, the weight of dr...

A never-ending war...

I hadn’t really slept in days. You know the kind of sleep where your eyes close but your heart stays wide awake? That was me — too tired to move, too restless to rest. It had been long since I had a peaceful sleep... The morning light was barely a whisper through the curtains when the phone rang. The landline. Who even calls the landline anymore? I answered it.  " Hello?"  A pause. Then a voice I didn’t recognize. It was rough yet... very gentle... " Are you okay?"  Just three words but it they hit like a wave. It had been ages since anyone had asked me that...  I stayed silent. Then came something deep down inside I didn't want to listen...  " Manjiri... Are you okay?"  Manjiri. Those words shattered something within me. Of course those weren't for me.  I cleared my throat. " No I think you've the wrong number... It's Harshali... Harshali Joshi..."  The stranger hesitated. "Oh—I’m sorry. I thought… you just sounded...
