One ordinary day turned into an unexpectedly adorable routine—all thanks to a little ginger cat with a big personality. It began when I entered the elevator in my building to head home to the 22nd floor. It was a pretty tiring day at college and all I wanted to do was to hit the sack. As soon as I entered, I noticed I wasn’t alone. Sitting calmly in the corner was a ginger cat, looking more like a frequent flier than a lost pet. A few kids playing nearby mentioned she lived on the 3rd floor and asked me to let her out there. So I did—I stopped at the 3rd floor and waited. But she didn’t get down. She just sat there. Unbothered. Uninterested. Maybe even slightly annoyed at my assumption. I tried my best to get her out but she was very stubborn and I was too tired so I gave up, pressed 22, and continued on.
